Farid Foundation provides a source of education, healthcare
and comfort to those in need, delivered with the highest professional standards in the
great tradition of Islamic teaching. |

The Farid Foundation was established in 2007 by Tariq and
Kamran Farid. The Foundation provides free healthcare to residents of a village outside of Sahiwal,
Pakistan, the birthplace and boyhood home of Tariq and Kamran Farid.
The Foundation also supports elementary education in the Islamic tradition and community
programs that assist the poor in Connecticut, where The Farid family made their home upon
arriving in the United States in 1981. |

The Farid family established the Farid Foundation to directly serve and support
projects and initiatives in Connecticut and Pakistan. The focus of the foundation's
work in Pakistan is to support free healthcare projects for the poor, including
the establishment of a rural hospital outside of Sahiwal. In Connecticut, the
Foundation established and supports an academy for elementary education in the
Islamic tradition. In addition, the Foundation supports Connecticut-based soup
kitchens and other community programs that provide assistance to the poor.
